York Program — MScN–PHCNP

Graduate Program, School of Nursing
Progression Policy

Students in all streams of the graduate program are expected to be registered every term and to take courses every term in order to progress through the program. The program offers a set program of study. Courses must be taken in the sequence outlined in the Student Handbook. If circumstances arise students can petition for a leave of absence from the program as allowed by the policies of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. It is the student’s responsibility to develop a plan for resuming their course of study on return from a leave of absence.
Effective September 2015 graduate students in nursing entering in the program will require at least a B grade in core courses in order to progress in the program. If Students are not successful in earning at least a B after two attempts in a core course they will be exited from the program.
